Bill Martin Sr. founded the New England Shoe Outlet in 1956 after earning a purple heart and serving his country faithfully as a Marine in both World War II and Korea. He opened the shoe store in Quantico, VA, to provide discount footwear and USMC boots to the U.S. Marines, their dependants, and others in the area.
At the start of the business, many of the shoes boots and styles of the time came from New England, and the name stuck. After he passed away in 1996, his son, Bill Martin Jr., took over the store while keeping the long-standing family tradition learned from his father to provide military boots at discount prices and maintain repeat customers.
Although we have expanded, we still hold dear to the customer service principles handed down by the late Mr. Martin. Whether a customer is interested in Browning boots or just a sturdy pair of socks, we believe that you can’t be in business for more than 50 years unless you listen to your customers! We are always open to suggestions, questions, comments, complaints…anything.
We also specialize in large orders for military, police, and other uniform purposes.

Just wanted to get some pictures up here and to talk allittle about what others have experienced here in one of the worst winters I have ever seen in Virginia. And we are getting more snow now just a few inches but snow is a good topic here this year. From the roads to power outages to canceled training this weather seems to have thrown everyone off schedule some way or another. Not hard to tell we don’t have winters like this often. Snow boots, shovels, salt and sleds sold out everywhere you go. Here at Quantico Boot we have been doing everything we can to keep plenty of waterproof boots and thick socks in stock for our Marines here in training.If keeping stock up isnt enough its been difficult even to get to the store some days. Government and Base employees have got more time off for snow then they did for Christmas. Which is nice as long as you don’t have deadlines or a schedule. Which i think we all do so it hasn’t been easy. But all this whether also makes me think boots need the right equipment for this type of weather. I have been wearing thorlos socks with my Matterhorn 3000 waterproof rough out leather boots. And I need this just for shoveling walkways and driveways. But must say my
feet have stayed dry and warm for the most part. We would like to here what u have done to stay warm and dry maybe share some of your tips on what you did to Survive this weather.
